Meizu Note 9 4GB 64GB is a new smartphone based on Android OS that went on sale in spring 2019. The Chinese company Meizu was known as a manufacturer of portable players from 2003 to 2007, and in 2008 it debuted as a manufacturer of mobile phones. And she made her debut well.
Design
Meizu Note 9 is a smartphone in a metal case. The fingerprint scanner is located on the back – this is the standard picture today. As standard as three cameras: one on the front and two on the rear.

Screen
From the very first glance at the phone, it becomes clear that it is perfect for games, movies and videos. The point is the large display with good resolution.
The 6.2-inch multi-touch display is capable of 16 million colors. The aspect ratio is 18.7: 9, the ppi (pixel density per inch of surface) is approximately 403. The resolution is 2244 × 1080. Surface area 96.4 cm². Impact-resistant 2.5D Gorilla Glass is typical of modern smartphones.
Cameras
As already mentioned, the smartphone has three cameras: the front 20-megapixel and dual rear – 48-megapixel and 5-megapixel. Each with LED backlighting. The video is shot in 1080p resolution, frequency (FPS) 30 frames per second.
The cameras are capable of face recognition, geotagging, touch focus, panoramic shooting and other common functions common today.
Hardware and software
The heart of the mobile device is the Snapdragon 675 single-chip mobile system, manufactured by the California-based Qualcomm company using 11-nanometer technology. The chipset is equipped with algorithms that are designed to implement elements of artificial intelligence – this is quite consistent with the mainstream of modern industry development.
The Snapdragon 675 system has an Adreno 612 graphics processing unit (GPU), which can better handle video game-related computing, thus improving performance.
The central processing unit is eight-core: two cores operate at a clock speed of 2.0 GHz, six at a clock speed of 1.7 GHz.
Dual SIM slot: you can install up to two nano-SIM. The memory card cannot be connected. We’ll have to confine ourselves to the internal data storage: its volume is 64 gigabytes. RAM – 4 gigabytes.
The phone runs pre-installed Android 9.0 Pie. The interface was developed by Meizu, the shell is called Flyme OS.
Battery, communication, sensors
The device is equipped with a non-removable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 4 thousand mAh, which supports accelerated charging using mCharge technology – this is Meizu’s own development. For comparison, the newest iPhone 11, which is just to be released in the fall of 2019, has a battery of the same capacity, which is 25-50% more than that of previous generations of iPhones.
The device includes standard modern technologies: 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (direct, hotspot), Bluetooth (version 5.0, A2DP, LE), GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS), USB-C (On-the-Go) … In the presence of a 3.5 mm headphone jack. There is no support for HDMI, NFC, no IrDA.
There are sensors for gravity, motion, light. They are used in mobile applications, including games.
Price and availability
Meizu Note 9 is a mid-range device. For its class, its characteristics are good.
